Peach Upside Down Cake

We used the last of our Ontario Peaches to make this delish cake! Simple and oh so fun to make! Perfect for your next family dinner!

You will need:
-Peaches (sliced)
-3/4 cup of sugar and 1 1/2 tablespoons of water to
make the caramel
-1 package of The Mindful Baking Company GF Golden
Vanilla Cake Mix (+4 eggs, 1/2 cup milk or milk
alternative, 1/2 cup oil)

Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Prepare and line baking pan with parchment paper

Step 2: Follow instructions on cake mix package to make batter

Step 3: In a saucepan, combine 3/4 sugar and 1 1/2 tablespoons water. Stir until combined. Cook over med-high heat. Give the sauce pan a swirl occasionally. Take off the heat as soon as the mixture turns light amber/caramel colour and pour into baking pan. ***BE VERY CAREFUL with hot sugar mixture!

Step 4: Add sliced peaches on top of caramel mixture in a design that makes you happy 😊 

Step 5: Pour batter into cake pan. Bake for approximately 35-45 mins or until toothpick comes out clean. Let cool and serve right away... or eat it slightly
warm. Totally up to you!
