Often regarded as a better alternative toĀ refined sugar, coconut sugar is the dehydrated andĀ boiled sap of the coconut palm.

In comparison to whiteĀ sugar, coconut sugar is lower in fructose content, hasĀ a lower glycemic index & contains traces of someĀ minerals and antioxidants. It also contains a fibreĀ called inulin (a prebiotic fibre), which may slow glucoseĀ absorption and explain why coconut sugar is lower onĀ the index.

Coconut sugar is not refined or chemicallyĀ altered and contains no artificial ingredients orĀ synthetic substances.

We LOVE baking with coconutĀ sugar for its health benefits, the delicious goldenĀ colour and the hint of caramel flavour it can bring toĀ our GF baking mixes! We have been using coconutĀ sugar as a wholesome alternative all while keeping ourĀ sugar content to only 7 grams per serving! It's a greatĀ staple to have in the pantry!
